You've been asking for it! Let's go see "The Merc" and discover how the Food Network's Ree Drummond has transformed her hometown into a spectacular destination in the middle of the prairie.

DAY 1

TULSA CITY TOUR: An early morning flight lands in Tulsa, Known for oil production, ranching, and Native American roots. This afternoon, a local guide will explain how Art Deco architecure burst onto the scene in an unlikely location. Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the city's great restaurants.

DAY 2

FRED DRUMMOND HOME: See where the Drummonds, one of the top ranching families in the U.S., got their start in Hominy, OK.

PIONEER WOMAN MERCANTILE: You'll arrive in Pawhuska in time to grab some lunch at the Mercantile or one of the downtown restaurants and get started on shopping. Today is all about Ree ... followed by a group dinner at the Mercantile with some of The Pioneer Woman's special recipes! Maybe you'll want to stop at the Drummond's newly opened ice cream shop, Charlie's Sweet Shop.

DAY 3

DOWNTOWN PAWHUSKA & OSAGE TOURS: Today you'll head back to Pawhuska and the Mercantile for more shopping and sightseeing.

DRUMMOND LODGE( IF AVAILABLE): The Lodge is only open on certain dates and they are not known for March 2020 at press time. Van Galder has arranged to get passengers to the Lodge if it is open during our visit.

PRICE TOWER: Tour and dinner at this Bartlesville, OK, landmark ... the ONLY skyscraper designed by Wisconin's own Frank Lloyrd Wright.

DAY 4

WOOLAROC: Oilman Frank Phillips (Phillips 66) created this amazing 3,700-acre wildlife preserve in 1925 to celebrate the buffalo, elk, and longhorn cattle that roam here. In addition, and on-site museum features an outstanding collection of western art and artifacts, Native American materials, and one of the finest collections of Colt firearms in the World.

Then, it's back to the airport for a late afternoon/early evening flight.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Fairfield Inn, Tulsa, OK (1 night); Holiday Inn Express, Bartlesville, OK (2nights).

 

TOUR INCLUSIONS: Professional tour director, roundtrip motorcoach transportation/airport/hotel/airport, roundtrip air, accommodations, luggage handling, admissions, and 5 meals, including 3 breakfasts, and 2 dinners.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Optional, but highly recommended.

 

ACTIVITY LEVEL 3 / HEAVY WALKING: Physical stamina required. Stair climbing, longer periods of walking and/or standing may be involved, along with higher elevations and longer days. Participants must be able to keep up with group.
