Celebrate the magic of springtime at the Philadelphia Flower Show!

Day 1

Begin the journey to Philadelphia, traveling through Indiana and Ohio. Tonight is spent near the Pennsylvania border in Youngstown, OH.

Day 2

This morning, continue the trek east to the birthplace of the United States!

After settling into the hotel, head out to the Old City neighborhood for a group dinner.

Day 3

PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW: Enjoy the day at the nation's oldest and the world's longest-running horticultural event! Now in its 197th year, this award-wining show is a marquee event known for its exquisite and immersive floral exhibits, world-class plant competitions, unique activities, educational offerings, and shopping.

BUTTERFLIES LIVE!: Interact with hundreds of butterfly species up close at this exceptional exhibit within the flower show!

Day 4

LONGWOOD GARDENS: Experience the splendor of one of the world's great gardens, spanning more than 1,100 acres! Explore the highlights of Longwood's diverse gardens while gaining an appreciation of the heritage and horticultural excellence of founder Pierre S du Pont on a guided tour.

WINTERTHUR GARDENS & MUSEUM: Visit the stately home of the late Henry Francis du Pont and discover collections of over 89,000 pieces of furniture, decorative arts, and home interiors. Walk through the Olmstead-style gardens, a masterpiece of color and design.

READING TERMINAL MARKET: Stop by one of the nation's oldest and largest public markets, first opened in 1893.

Day 5

HISTORY MAKER TOUR: Join a History Maker and be whisked back to centuries ago. Walk through America's "most historic square mile" and spot the Presidents House, the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and more!

KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE: Discover over 40 unique shops offering everything from locally made quilts and hand-poured candles to james, relishes, and farm-fresh cheeses. Enjoy plenty of hands-on activities, including a self-guided tasting tour in the Jam & Relish Kitchen!

Arrive home this evening with a sense that spring is on its way!

ACCOMMODATIONS: Hampton Inn, Youngstown, OH (2 nights); Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City (3 nights)

 

TOUR INCLUSIONS: Professional tour director, motorcoach transportation, accommodations, luggage handling, admissions, and 7 meals, including 5 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Optional, but highly recommended.

 

ACTIVITY LEVEL 3 / HEAVY WALKING: Physical stamina required. Stair climbing, longer periods of walking and/or standing may be involved, along with higher elevations and longer days. Participants must be able to keep up with group.
