Known for its picturesque coastline and finest collection of lighthouses in the country, the Two Harbors, MN and Apostle Islands, WI area are both in our "own back yard" and worth seeing, experiencing, and enjoying! Certainly a "bucket list" tour!

Day 1

Journey through northern Wisconsin on your way to the Lake Superior shoreline in Two Harbors, MN.

GRAND SUPERIOR LODGE: Spend 2 nights at this classic northern Minnesota resort which hugs the inland sea of of Lake Superior and is cozily nestled among the mature pine, birch and aspen trees. Take in the beauty of the area as you sit along the shore of Lake Superior, or take a stroll long the coastline as the sun sets, the beautiful and tranquil surroundings bring a sense of peace.

Day 2

GOOSEBERRY FALLS STATE PARK: Observe the gateway to the North Shore and listen to the thunderous roar of the Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls of the Gooseberry River as it plummets through a rocky gorge. Watch for waves, ships, or the moon rise on Lake Superior from an ancient lava flow known as the Picnic Flow.

SPLIT ROCK LIGHTHOUSE: From the rocky North Shore cliffs, Split Rock Lighthouse guided freighters across the stormy waters of Lake Superior safely for a half a century.

SUMMIT EXPRESS GONDOLA: This aerial gondola is one of the North Shore's most popular attractions at Lutsen Mountain! It glides from summit to summit offering views of some of Cook County's most dramatic scenery. The gondola stops at the summit of Moose Mountain, where you can take photos, admire the view, eat and relax at the chalet!

Day 3

OLD RITTENHOUSE: Experience lunch at Wisconsin's first Bed and Breakfast! This Queen Anne Victorian Home has incredible history, Lake Superior views, and serves a fantastic lunch.

APOSTLE ISLAND CRUISE: This "Grand Tour" cruise is a narrated 55-mile scenic cruise. Take in the extraordinary natural scenery, historic lighthouses, standing rocks, magnificent seat caves, and marine life. With the captain's narration full of knowledge and humor, you will learn the rich history of centuries of human interaction with Wisconsin's "Crown Jewels" on the majestic Lake Superior.

LEGENDARY RESORT & CASINO: Check in at this beautiful Resort & Casino located on the Shore of Lake Superior. Try your luck at the casino, enjoy dinner, take in the sights, whatever you choose-the evening is yours!

Day 4

WILDWOOD WILDLIFE PARK: Get up-close and personal with more than 1,700 animals and 229 species! Experience the wonders of nature found throughout the park and the animals from around the world, including giraffe, deer, mountain lion, tiger, emu, lemur, tortoise, zebra, and more!

The time has come to say goodbye to the Shores of Superior, but the beauty and memories will last a lifetime!

TOUR INCLUSIONS: Professional tour director, motorcoach transportation, accommodations, luggage handling, admissions, and 5 meals, including 3 breakfasts, 1 lunch, and 1 dinner.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Optional, but highly recommended.

ACTIVITY LEVEL 3 / HEAVY WALKING: Physical stamina required. Stair climbing, longer periods of walking and/or standing may be involved, along with higher elevations and longer days. Participants must be able to keep up with group.
