Day 1

Have you ever had lunch with a President? Today you will, as your journey through the Land of Lincoln begins.

LINCOLN DEPOT: Visit the restored 1852 train depot and stand where President-Elect Abraham Lincoln departed for Washington D.C. on February 11, 1861. Lincoln gave one of his most memorable speeches from the back of a train at this location.

LINCOLN FAMILY HOME: Peak into the private life of our 16th President while touring the only home that Lincoln ever owned, restored to look as it did when the Lincolns resided there.

LINCOLN TOMB: Pay respects to the President and his family, laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery. And rub the bronze nose of the Lincoln statue for luck!

Day 2

DANA-THOMAS HOUSE: Visit the Prairie School-style home designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1902 for Susan Lawrence Dana, a forward-thinking socialite and philanthropist.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY & MUSEUM: As the most visited of all presidential libraries in the U.S., this museum includes 40,000 square feet of galleries, special effect theaters, and historic displays, taking you from his simple beginnings to his extraordinary presidency and the legacy beyond.

ACE SIGN MUSEUM: A family-owned company of 80 years, this active business is home to a collection of over 85 historic signs from Springfield and Route 66, including a 12-foot tall 1953 Neon Pepsi Bottle Cap, a sign that once identified the Train Depot where Lincoln gave his farewell speech, and even more vintage signs originating from memorable dining establishments & vintage brewing companies.
